ASBM holds its 12th Annual Convocation
ASBM organised its 12th Annual Convocation in its campus on 6th April, 2019. Dr. Ashok Dalwai, IAS, Chief Executive Officer, National Rainfed Area Authority graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his convocation address, he said that it is not necessary that only organisations and institutions have their vision and mission statements. Every individual should have a vision, a mission, well defined goals and objectives in their life. He advised the students to adhere to the value system and to inculcate valuable traits like ability to work hard, seeking an opportunity in every challenge, readiness to fail, etc to succeed in life.
Chairman of ASBM Board of Governors Mr. Ravindra Chamaria, the Chairman, Infinity Group presided over the event. Sharing his words of wisdom, he addressed the students as beneficiaries of a world where opportunities and trends are global and where information is available at finger tips. He further advised the students to learn from failure since failure is simply the opportunity to begin again and to carve out the path of success out of failure.
Prof. (Dr.) Biswajeet Pattanaya, Founder and Director of ASBM, presented the annual report of the institute. While sharing his valuable words with the graduating students he said that leadership is the most important element in all aspects of life – be it business, be it politics, be it administration, be it society or be it even one’s own family. Quoting Ken Blanchard he said that “The key to successful leadership today is influence, not authority”. He advised the students to have strong belief in their inner potential and to stay happy and influence the world around them to make it a happy place.
On this momentous occasion, ASBM Award for Excellence for the year 2018 was conferred on Prof. Damodar Acharya. While Saswat Upadhaya, the student of PGDM 2017-19 batch was awarded with the Infinity Gold Medal as the ‘Best Student’ in academics Kameswar Lenka bagged the Director’s Gold Medal, sponsored by State Bank of India, as the ‘Best All-rounder’ student.
