ASBM organized 9th National Management Symposium- HR

ASBM University has organized the 9th National Management Symposium- HR recently on a pertinent theme- Talent and Technology- Transforming HR for Future. The symposium was inaugurated by the Guest of Eminence Dr Santosh Kumar Kamila, I.Po.S., Chief Post Master General, Odisha Circle. In his address, he highlighted the shifting scenario of HR and the daunting challenges that lie ahead in the changing environment. He spoke at length about the need of adaptability and keeping abreast with the technological changes in the market environment.

The Guest of Honor, Mr. M.N. Rao, Chairman, MediSys EduTech Pvt. Ltd., in his address, extensively spoke on the role and influence of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on the governance and administration. He emphasized on the changing dimensions of organization models fraught with the intervention of technology into the mainstream. He has also discussed on the importance of innovation blended with technological acumen to bring a sea change in the employment organization and generation.

The theme of the symposium was introduced by the Chairman and President, ASBM University, Prof. (Dr). Biswajeet Pattanayak and he spoke on the importance of HR and the profound role of technology in the transformation of education and market environment. He highlighted the key roles that technology plays and also provided valuable insights on the various approaches of effective implementation and integration of technology and talent in the Human Resource Management.

The plenary session of the symposium was graced by eminent HR practitioners like Dr. Debasmitha Tripathy, Additional General Manager (HR), NTPC Ltd., Mr. Tanmay Panda, Head HR, Universal Sompo General Insurance Co. Ltd., and Mr. P. K. Mohanty, Head (HR & IR), Essar Steel India Ltd. The latest issue of the University newsletter “PHOENIX” was released on this occasion.


It was attended by delegates from academic and industry, students and faculty members. The Coordinator of 9th National Management Symposium, Prof. (Dr.) Phalgu Niranjana introduced the guests and Co-coordinator, Dr. Bhakta Bandhu Dash proposed the vote of thanks.
