Subject Area – Marketing Dr.Janendra Kumar Routray is an engineer with an MBA degree in marketing. He has earned his M.Phil and Ph.D. in Management with specialisation in Marketing from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. He also holds Certificates in Google Analytics and Digital Marketing from Google Academy. He had undertaken research on “A study on Green Marketing – Customer & Manufacturer’s Perception of Solar Products” for his doctoral study.He has also carried out focused research in the areas of social media marketing for cottage industries and MSME, blockchain and digital marketing, green marketing, and innovative marketing strategy. Under his mentoring, a team of students from IIIT, Bhubaneswar had bagged the eleventh position in the International Digital Marketing Competition 2020 organised by Purdue University, USA. Dr.Routray has seven research publications in national and international journals and has also presented several papers at national and international conferences. He has attended a number of Faculty Development Programmes and workshops on Teaching Methodology, Presentation Skills as an Effective Teaching Tool, Case Writing, Data Analysis Using SPSS, Preparation of Conference Papers etc. He has varied and enriching experience of almost three decades, first in the Indian Air Force and then in academic institutions of repute including the College of Engineering and Technology (CET), College of IT and Management (CIME), and International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), all at Bhubaneswar. Prior to joining ASBM University, Dr.Routray was working as Assistant Professor in IIIT, Bhubaneswar.   Area of interest – Marketing Management, Digital Marketing, E-Commerce, E-Business, and Social Media Marketing.
