Prof. Pattnaik holds M.Tech degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from the College of Engineering and Technology (presently Odisha University of Technology and Research – OUTR), Bhubaneswar. He was earlier awarded B.Tech. degree in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering by the same university. He is now pursuing his Ph.D. from the OUTR. He has attended Faculty Development Programmes (FDP) on IOT at IIT – Guwahati and on Image and Signal Processing at CET, Bhubaneswar. He has undergone Vocational Training at Rourkela Steel Plant (Steel Authority of India Ltd. – SAIL), Training on Industrial Automation at C V Raman - Bosch Rexroth Centre of Excellence, Bhubaneswar, and Training on Basic PLC and SCADA at C V Raman - Siemens Centre of Excellence, Bhubaneswar. He has undertaken various projects such as ‘Smart Blind Stick’, ‘Bluetooth and Key Pad Door-Lock System’, ‘Industrial Mixing and Filling of Cylinders’, ‘Automated Fan, Light, and AC Control in Offices’, and ‘Anti-Theft and Car Alarm System using GPS and GSM’. Prof. Pattnaik was into teaching before joining ASBM University with two years of experience. Areas of interest – IOT, Python & C ++, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI & ML), Human Machine Interface (HMI), Robotic Designing and Automation, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).
