Asbm Kick Starts National Youth Festival – Ignite & Markfest 2015

Studies took a backseat as budding management students from various business schools across India, gathered in ASBM campus to participate in the 3 day National Youth Festival; Ignite and Markfest 2015.

In his address Prof. (Dr.) Biswajeet Pattanayak, Director of ASBM highlighted the objective of the Programme and articulated that the event is meant for Students of B-School and perspective students of Business Management. Prof. (Dr.) Biswajeet Pattanayak said that “today organisations are looking for creative students who are problem solvers. Innovative events like Ignite and Markest provide a platform to generate idea and out of the box thinking and creativity that will help students in developing competency based skill-set”.

Shri Priyadarshi Mishra, Hon’ble MLA, Bhubaneswar North, Chief Guest on the Occasion expressed his delight to be among young students radiating with creative energy and urged them to become socially responsible and contribute to the society and said that “the combination of brains, courage, skills and ethics would build excellent managers out of them.” He ignited the mind of the students and said you should learn how to be an entrepreneur. He appreciated the quality of management education that ASBM impart.

Prof. Debendra Nath Jena, VC Utkal University of Culture appreciated the event and said the participation will help in building of their personality. As a teacher he also feels that festival of amusement is essential at it emerge from our rich culture and is a rhythm of our day to day life. He urge student to invite challenges and try to convert these challenges to opportunity and asserted that “an innovative mindset will emerge from the event and be of immense benefit to all the student participants”.

Prof. (Dr.) Biswajeet Pattanayak, Director of ASBM presented the Memento to all the distinguished guests present on this august occasion, soon after the performance of first competition ‘War of Bands’. This 3 day event will follow with the competitions like Face Painting, T-Shirt Design, Mehendi, Voice of Ignite, shut up ‘N’ act, Fashion Show, Rangoli, Poster, Danza-Dancing superstar, Star Guitar,, Clicked-Best Shot, Pot-Design & Painting, Face Off – English Debate The Programme was anchored by Khusbu Agarwal, a student of ASBM, Introduction of guests by Prof. Rajkamal Verma and vote of thanks offered by Prof. Ashish Mohanty.
