Inauguration of 8th Batch PGDM of ASBM,12th August,

Shri Sujya Narayana Patro, Cabinet Minister, Revenue and Disaster Management, Odisha conveyed his good wishes to the students of new batch.  He appreciated the role played by ASBM in providing quality management education. He added that ASBM has brought laurels to the state by securing a place among the of business schools of the country with the short span of seven years. The minister expressed his satisfaction that the students of ASBM have achieved great success in different industrial houses of the country.  At the end he opined that the future of the students will depend on their hard and sincere work during their student days.

Shri V. P. Nandakumar, CMD of Manappuram Finance Ltd.  attended the inaugural function as guest of eminence and gave emphasis on financial inclusion. He said that management education has a prime role in bringing the downtrodden to the main stream of the Society.  He expressed his happiness that the students of ASBM have been able to prove themselves in Manappuram Finance through quality work. He assured that his organization would continue to recruit students from ASBM because of its quality education and emphasis on excellence.

Shri S. Jaisankar, Head, Sales & Marketing, GATI Ltd. and Shri Sarad Kumar, Director, Biju Pattanayk International Air Port graced the occasion as guests of honour and lauded the remarkable achievements of ASBM as also its academic environment and quality rigour.

Director ASBM, Dr. Biswajeet Pattanayak in his welcome address conveyed his gratitude to all the stakeholders as the institution has been able to bag international accreditation in a very short span of time. Quoting from the epoch-making book Jonathan Livingstone Seagull, he exhorted the new students to be passionate about their goal in life, which in turn will make them soar high.

Dean, Dr. Kalyan Shankar Ray introduced the guests and Dr. Basistha Chatterjee, Chairman, PG Council proposed the vote of thanks.

The new batch of 2013 has pan India presence with students hailing from different states of the country like Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Rajastan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Chhatishgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha etc.  The students are now going through a vigorous internship Programme of three weeks starting from 2nd August.
