The 10th Foundation day “Astitwa” of Asian School of Business Management was inaugurated by former president of India, Her Excellency Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil as Chief Guest. In her inaugural address, Smt. Patil said that agriculture is the foundation stone of Indian economy and so agricultural industries can help in achieving economic advancement of the country. New generation management students should try in this way. In her address to ASBM students she told that dream is not one that one sees in the night, real dream is that which cannot make one sleep and so this dream can bring achievement for people. She praised ASBM for its international achievement and high value within a short span of nine years. She admired Prof. (Dr.) Biswajeet Pattanayak for building such an institution by keeping aside his personal interest and ambition. She further said that transformation is the panacea to complex business solution. This transformation should be based on high moral values and ethics whereby one can fly high and high in the path of nation building.
In his address, Prof. (Dr.) Prasanna Kumar Patasani, Member of Lok Sabha from Bhubaneswar, Guest of Honour of the occasion, said that students need to cultivate discipline which is more important than formal education. He further explained the art of successful family management, health management and money management.
The foundation day lecture was delivered by Prof. Shyam Sundar Pattnaik, Vice Chancellor, Biju Patnaik University of Technology. Speaking on this occasion he explained how body to mind, heart to brain and brain to brain communication is possible. While emphasizing on time management, he said management of self is the need of the day. He urged upon the student to think good, do good and be good.
In his welcome address, Prof. (Dr.) Biswajeet Pattanayek, the Founder & Director of ASBM pointed how ASBM has been able to uphold excellence by cultivating highly evolved value based education, years after year. Managing management is the essence of management, he said. Only the best of the best practices can help students to excel in their career.
