ASBM University celebrates “Akanksha”

ASBM University, celebrated “Akanksha”, the inauguration ceremony  of the new batch 2023-24 in its campus with Dr. Douglus J. Gilbert, Eminent Jurist and Professor, Walden University, USA as the Chief Guest. Mr. Manas Ranjan Panda, Managing Directior, Odisha Computer Application Centre and Mr. Rajiv Bhatnagar, Executive Director, ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India were the Guests of Honour at the programme which was presided over by the Founder & President of the University Prof. Biswajeet Pattanayak.

The Chief Guest Dr. Gilbert gave emphasis on the human attitudinal transformation to meet any life crisis successfully.  He also spoke about the environmental crisis and global warming which are posing serious threats to the entire world. He also advised the students to give their best to whatever they do instead of running after illusory success.  Mr. Manas Ranjan Panda highlighted the advancement made by Odisha on the Information Technology front and how it can usher in  new world for the coming generation.  Mr. Rajiv Bhatnagar  advised the students to devote full attention and passion to whatever they do in their life  and also to face responsibility and challenges without any fear.

 

The Founder &  President of the University Prof. Pattanayak emphasized on facing failure and failures are integral parts of life. Quoting extensively from the best seller “Failosophy”, he explained the seven pillars of failures, which if handled properly can lead to sure success.   He further stated that happiness in the state of mind and depends on the attitude of the particular person.  One can be happy in any crisis if one intends to do so.

Earlier the Dean Academics, Prof. Padmanava Mohapatra, introduced the guests while the Vice Chancellor Prof. Ranjan Kumar Bal delivered the welcome address.  Assistant Dean Prof. Avijit Mondal proposed a vote of thanks

The formal ceremony was followed by a colourful entertainment programme presented by the students to showcase their latent talent.   Four students, two each from the PG and UG stream were selected as Miss Freshers and Mr. Freshers.
