Dr. Jharasri Paikaray

Subject Area – Law Dr. Jharasri Paikaray has been awarded Ph.D. degree in Law by Utkal University for her doctoral research on ‘Claim Management in Insurance’. She had earlier earned her LL.B. and LL.M. degrees form the same university. She has published eight research papers in journals of repute. She has also contributed a chapter to a book on Sustainable Development. She has attended a large number of conferences and has presented research papers. She has also been a resource person for some of them. Dr. Paikray has attended three refresher courses on subjects like ‘The Changing Face of Higher Education in Law in India’, ‘Research Methodology in Social Science’, and ‘Law, Legal Studies and Forensic Science’ conducted by Guru Angad Dev Teaching Learning Centre (Ministry of Education, Government of India), Utkal University, and Jai Narayan Vyas University respectively. She has twelve years of teaching experience in law. She also acted as the Principal of Khordha Law College. Her last teaching assignment, before joining ASBM University, was with the P.G. Department of Law in Utkal University. Areas of interest – Child Rights, Sustainable Development, Cyber Crime, Legal Aid, Insurance Claim Management etc.
