Dr. Ramakanta Mohanty

Subject Area – Computer Science and Information Technology Dr. Mohanty has been awarded Ph.D. in Computer Science by Berhampur University for his dissertation ‘Application of Machine Learning and Soft Computing Technologies to Software Engineering’. Earlier, he had earned his M.Tech. Degree in Software Engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Allahabad and AMIE in Electronics and Communication Engineering from The Institution of Engineers (India). He has published 21 research papers in international and national publications indexed by Scopus, Science Direct, Thomson Reuters etc. He has contributed chapters to five books published by Springer and IGI Global. He has two patents to his credit. He has presented research papers in different conferences – 48 at the international level and seven at the national level. He has also chaired many conference sessions. Dr. Mohanty is into academics for more than two decades. He has been a Professor for 13 years in different institutions including GIET University, Odisha. During his long tenure in academics, he has gained substantial experience in academic administration as Dean, Principal, and Head of the Department (HoD). He also has industry experience having spent 12 years in the Indian Air Force as an Engineer at the beginning of his career. Two scholars have been awarded Ph.D. under his supervision. A third scholar has submitted his dissertation for evaluation and four more are now working for their doctoral degree under his guidance.
