Aautonomous Business School. Established In 2006 by a team of dedicated educationists and management professionals led by Prof. Biswajeet Pattanayak, former Professor of IIM Lucknow & Indore, ASBM has been benchmarked with the IIMs for providing quality management education. It offers the PGDM programme approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India with national accreditation of NBA. The quality parameters of the school have earned it international accreditation of ACBSP (USA).

Besides playing a pivotal role in providing value based management education with an industry driven curriculum, ASBM is also committed to research and development. By dint of continuous innovation in its approach for excellence, ASBM was adjudged the “Best B-School” by Odisha Technological Conclave, 2018 and has been rated 'A+++' in the National Survey of Business India in December 2016.The Institute has also been rated the highest on governance parameter, along with IIM Ahmadabad, for three consecutive years by Indian Management best BSchool Survey.

To realise its vision to set the best standards for management education and business leadership, ASBM has entered into coveted MoU with internationally reckoned centers of learning like Metropolitan State University, California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB), Westcliff University, North Carolina Central University (NCCU), St. Cloud State University (all from USA), Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE), Argentina and Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS), Singapore.

Business is not always smooth sailing. It faces uncertainty and inclement weather as it goes through ups and downs. The twenty first century has no doubt brought in more opportunities, but also more complexities simultaneously. Business has become multifaceted, and at the same time it has to face much more rough weather. Not all organisations can sustain in such a situation. Some quit or die, some sustain and exist; only a very few not only sail through, but also grow, despite bad weather. The organisations today face the challenge of not only withstanding exposure to the vicissitudes of a complex business environment, but also of growing despite all the problems.

This calls for building a strong, stable and resilient organisation that can survive the challenges posed by business cycles, technological expansion, political upheavals, demographic dilemma and other multidimensional problems. It also calls for taking a holistic view of the emerging opportunities, and threats as well, to pave the way for organisational agility and sustainability. Ultimately, a culture has to be built that can sustain the organisation thorough good times and bad. Thus the traditional concept of ‘challenge’ itself has to be challenged to build a ‘weatherproof’ organisation that can thrive and develop in all seasons. This national convention will provide a platform to academicians, research scholars, industry practitioners and students for multi-layered discussion from different dimensions – Human Resource, Marketing, Finance, Logistics & Supply Chain – that can ultimately make business weatherproof.
