Prof. Ranjan Bal vice-chancellor of ASBM University

Prof. Ranjan Kumar Bal, former Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Business Management of Utkal University and Former National President of the Indian Accounting Association, has taken over as the Vice Chancellor of ASBM University. For more than three decades, Prof. Bal has held various positions in Utkal University as Professor, Dean, PG Council Chairman, HOD and Member of the Syndicate.

At a meeting of faculty and staff of ASBM University, the Founder and President of ASBM University Prof. Biswajeet Pattanayak welcomed and congratulated the new Vice-Chancellor Prof.Ranjan Bal.

Prof. Bal holds a PhD in Business Administration and has qualified for Faculty Development from IIM Ahmedabad. He has also served as Director of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Utkal University.

As many as 32 students have done research and obtained PhD degrees under his guidance. He has published seven books and eighty-four research papers.

It may be recalled that the Selection Committee and the Board of Governors of ASBM University had recommended the names of three academicians for the post of Vice-Chancellor, out of which Prof. Biswajeet Pattnayak, Founder and President of ASBM University selected and appointed Prof. Bal as the Vice-Chancellor of the University.
